On Day 2 of the holiday blizzard of 2010,
after the snow had fallen,
and the wind swept it into fluffy peaks,
cars were stuck,
streets remained unplowed,
people continued to shovel,
kids played,
dogs frolicked,
and public transportation remained, for the most part, stalled…
But the Chinese take-out and pizza shops were doing brisk business.
New York, the city that never sleeps,
even when buried under two feet of snow.
